It was good to get 30 more gladioli in at the plot today.
The first gladioli went in on the 25th April being mainly cultivars which require a bit longer to flower than the Dutch ones. I put in ‘Of Singular Beauty’, ‘Florence Nightingale’, ‘August Days’ and ‘Inis’.
Today I began with the Dutch cultivars: ‘Cream Perfection’, ‘Rotary’ and ‘Socrates’. All were planted using a bulb planter and placed on some perlite to keep their ‘feet’ from sitting in water. Hopefully, looking at the forecast they should get off well.
