One of the great problems I find when you enjoy growing flowers or vegetables is that I am always interested in trying something else! It it notable that the best growers in the country usually only stick with one or two things which they specialise in. I’m afraid I suffer from the ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ syndrome! Hence the chrysanthemum!

Last year I purchased a number of from Frankie Charlton and also picked up a few more when we visited Halls of Heddon. I managed to bring them in at the beginning of winter and have had the stools boxed up in the greenhouse.

Some of the stools have done well and have produced some cutting material. I noticed, yesterday, however that there were a number of greenfly on them so had to address that. I managed to take about two dozen cuttings from about six varieties. I’m hoping to get a few more in the coming weeks.
